On researching, I found most of wood screws factories in Vietnam sell wood screws on unit of bulk-pack that is in Kilogram of screws (such as 15KGS/Bulk). The factories wouldn’t focus much on retail packaging so to be able to supply they would work with a separated packaging factory. They usually don’t develop their own retail box by themselves; but would request buyers provide them the design of the plastic box, box dimension or at least photo of the box and the dimension. Same with the label paper sticker and carton as well.

It took me over one month to do all research, contacted through email, phone call and directly worked with different factories in Vietnam to get the right quotation that could meet product’s requirements and quite close to target prices and this was the list of pretty well-organized and available factories in Vietnam as following:

Their factory is located in Nhon Trach III Industrial Park, Hiep Phuoc, Nhon Trach, Dong Nai Province. It takes around 50 minutes by car from center of Ho Chi Minh City to the factory (searched on google map).

I contacted and worked with Ms. Hoa. She was a professional sales, good knowledge of product, cooperated, quick response and willing.

She suggested me their own technique drawings of wood screws which matched 7/11 the project’s screws styles and sizes.

Based on the photos and dimension of the plastic box, label sticker and carton box which I provided them, they were able and available to do the retail packaging as project’s requirement.

I got their quotation after 3 weeks working; it was one of the quotations were close to project’s target prices and all requirements.

They were both on their high responsibility as sales executives but it took longer time than I expected to have their first response and next.

Although I found some models of their wood screws  were showed up on their website but in fact they don’t have their own technique drawings of wood screws when I sent them the request of inquiry. To continue working with them I provided them the drawings.  And it was same problem to the retail packaging as well. So they were quite slow to process a quotation.

I waited for over one month with pushing emails every week to get their quotation at finally with 6/11 styles of screws which they were able to offer. The Quote was a close to the target and it was good to have a reference and to compare to other factories. To work with them I really think we need a bit patience.

Come to visit their factory is a good to start with this factory. It’s in Hochiminh City, takes around 30 minutes by car from center. Their factory is well organized, good machines.

3. Homn Reen  Enterprise Group

“Homn Reen has established two fully integrated factories. The Taiwan-based factory is 20,000 square meters, and the Vietnam-based factory is 100,000 square meters. Our products are sold domestically and internationally, and shipments average 21,000 metric tones annually.”

They are a Taiwanese company, the factory based in Vietnam wide 100,000 square meters (as what they said on their website), but I haven’t come to visit their factory in Vietnam yet.

The factory located at Road No.5, Tam Phuoc Industrial Zone, Tam Phuoc Commune, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai, Vietnam. Takes around one hour by car to get their from center of HCMC.

I contacted to Arnel via her email address: arnel@homnreen-vn.com since she was on charged in Vietnam factory and market.  I got her first response after 1 or 2 weeks. And it was her first and last answer. She stopped answering without any announces after receiving my inquiry and asking me sending her technique drawings and all detailed specifications.

So, right.  I didn’t have a quotation from this factory.
